Art is an universal language that transcends boundaries, cultures, and generations. We are all born with creative thinking, as a child we are attracted to various colors, different shapes, curious to break and construct new things. Art or being creative has the power to inspire, heal, and transform individuals and communities alike.

However that curiosity ends as soon as we start growing up, we move from becoming creatives to mere followers. Follow teachers, follow our friends (FOMO) and then end up following our bosses. When are we going to listen to ourselves. Nowadays our inner voices too echo others. Of course education system and parents have also had a major role to play in this, the pressure of being academically well and to undermine the creative side.
Being creative is appreciated only to a certain age and not encouraged once we enter 10th std or to take it further as a profession. Hence, this is not considered as a profession ,but a mere hobby. Well the whole world is only running on one aspect the MONEY. Not denying its a major part of our life , however by running behind money we shouldn't ignore our creative side ,right. Especially in these changing times of AI And social media world its most important to discover who we really are.
As an art enthusiast, educator, and creator, I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact that art can have on our lives. Art helped me heal in my most difficult times , as a child i too was drawing painting but that was lost while growing up. I returned to art only when i hit rock bottom and it as helped me heal. My Partner doodles when he is bored. Art can be anything, from decorating or clearing your space to cooking, planning your vacation, grooming yourself to just pause and observe your breathe. Art allows you to slow down, reflect and gives strength to be alone.
Here are few reasons why art is important in our live and how it enriches our world.
Art allows us to express our thoughts, emotions, and ideas in ways that words often cannot. Through colors, shapes, and forms, we can communicate complex feelings and concepts, making the invisible visible. For many, art becomes a safe outlet for expressing their innermost selves, fostering a deeper understanding of their own emotions and those of others.

Art is a reflection of culture and history. It captures the essence of different eras, societies, and traditions, preserving them for future generations. Especially waking up to the art of rangolis every morning in front of the house is strong memory of my childhood. Also beautifying our palms with different mehendi designs.

These days art has been used as tool to heal mentally and emotionally weak people. Art has therapeutic benefits that contribute to mental and emotional well-being. Creating art can be a meditative process, helping individuals to relax, reduce stress, and find peace. Art therapy is widely used to help people cope with trauma, anxiety, and depression, providing a non-verbal outlet for processing difficult emotions and experiences.

Art can also serve as a powerful tool for social change, raising awareness about important issues and inspiring action. Through community art projects, people can come together to create something meaningful, building stronger, more cohesive communities.
